FAQ
Q
What is the RFUP?
A
A resource that facilitates therapeutic conversations with consumers to explore issues relating to the interaction between their mental health and alcohol and/or other drug use. The RFU Package is a compilation of existing tools, interventions and information that includes the RFU scale. It is designed to augment rather than replace existing skills.
Q
Is it effective?
A
Yes. Evidence from numerous pilots and a national evaluation with Neami National indicated the RFUP assisted staff to develop confidence and knowledge in dual diagnosis treatment strategies. Consumers have found it easy to engage with the material and found the process useful in developing treatment goals. https://svhm.org.au/home/our-services/departments-and-services/n/nexus/resources/rfu-themhs-paper-2016 For more information go to NEXUS https://svhm.org.au/home/our-services/departments-and-services/n/nexus
